The first Asia-Pacific Conference on silicon carbide and related materials (APCSCRM 2018) was held in Beijing, China from July 9 to 12. APCSCRM 2018 focused on the wide band gap semiconductor material growth technology, material structure and physical properties，optoelectronic and electronic device research and development, and related equipment research and development. Professor Chen Xiaolong, Institute of Physics, CAS, China and Professor Noriyuki IWAMURO, University of Tsukuba, Japan, jointly served as the president of the conference. APCSCRM 2018 was hosted by Introduction of Innovation Association of Wide Bandgap Semiconductor Technology（IAWBS）and Institute of Physics, CAS, and undertaken by Tankeblue Semiconductor Co., Ltd.

APCSCRM 2018 invited academicians of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, IEEE academicians, members of the IEEE ISPSD technical planning committee, senior members of IEEE, vice chairman of ISPSD, chairman of ISPSD Japan, researcher of the U.S. Department of energy, member of IEICE in Japan, researcher of KETI in Korea. Nearly 30 world-class industry and academic experts and scholars presented wonderful reports.

Expert report


APCSCRM 2018 adopted various forms of communication, including invitation report, oral report, enterprise report, poster and enterprise exhibition. More than ten countries or regions from Switzerland, the United States, Japan, Sweden, Germany, Russia, South Korea and China attended the conference. The number of participants was nearly 400,  delivered nearly 80 reports, received more than 130 papers.
